Two very prominent early day citizens of Trinidad have figured in the ownership of the land and property now listed as 121 West Main. Peter J. Munnecom owned the original site after acquiring it from the City in 1877 and evidence indicates that J. A. Bell who figured in the construction of so many of Trinidad's buildings was the owner of this one when it was constructed in 1888. The building underwent a major remodeling in 1950.
The first photograph, taken looking east from West Main Street, is dated about 1910.
The second photograph was taken in July, 1970.
