2006        Christmas

We were snowed in for four days starting with Christmas day of 2006.  We ate all the good food like pizza in the first two days, then it was soup and ramen noodles.  I found some cornbread mix in the cupboard and made my first batch ever.  We were discussing our desire for chocolate when remembered that he had left a chocolate bar in the car.  He went crazy doing the chocolate dance, then bundled up and trekked 100 feet to the car.  He wouldn't share.

On the third day, we all bundled up and got in the car.  We made it 100 feet south and 100 feet north, parked the car and went back in the house.  We would have laughed if it had been the least bit funny.  The next day the snow plow finally cleared the road.  We went to the Sierra Grande restaurant in Des Moines and each had a cheese burger.  Damn, that tasted good!

I left it standing until the snow melted days later.  Just to keep the neighbors wondering.

November 2006        's Note to the Tooth Fairy

It took a long time to lose his first tooth.  He was a little bit worried that the Tooth Fairy might give up on him, so he wrote her this letter.
